Omega-3 Preventing Hearing Loss

Floridians know the value of vitamins as part of a healthy routine however, there are many other benefits that adults are not aware of, like the longevity of their hearing health. One vitamin that research has found to benefit adult especially in the prevention of hard of hearing is Omega 3.


Through extensive studies research has shown that two servings of fish weekly can cut the risk of hearing loss in adults over the age of 50 by 42 percent, in comparison to one serving a week.


Blue Mountains Hearing conducted research 2,956 men and women. These individuals were asked about their dietary consumption of fish using food frequency questionnaires. After many thorough studies scientists concluded that there was an inverse association between total ion chain Omega 3 consumption and hearing loss with higher fish consumption.


Next time you eat breakfast and take your Calcium, Iron and Vitamin D, consider Omega-3 as part of your vitamin intake. How many out there can say they actually take Omega-3 as part of their vitamin routine?
